This is my third rotation at R.A Jones. This summer, I have gotten to design, assemble and wire a high voltage machine panel using Allen-Bradley components. I have also spent considerable time learning and programming a Beckhoff XTS track using their text-based programming language, TwinCAT. Very soon, I will get to put these skills to test on what is easily the most advanced machine I have gotten to work on to date! Check back soon for more details.

During my second rotation at R.A Jones, I got the opportunity to program Keyence 2D/3D laser profiler to detect bad product based on height, width, length or rotation. Within a 200-millisecond scan time, I was able to detect and begin tracking bad product as it made its way down 8 different conveyer belts, all moving at variable speeds.

During my first rotation at R.A Jones, I programed and troubleshot Allen-Bradley products on a standard line, cartoning machine. I was able to re-program core logic that makes the machine easier to commission and reduces billable engineering hours. After getting familiar with the machine, I was able to work directly with the customer during FAT to make small code changes and ensure their needs were met.
